The History Of Impact Group

The Impact Group began in 1969 when the proprietor, Tony Hill, formed a driving school. Within a very short time the driving school had become a local household name and demand for lessons increased very quickly. The need for expansion became obvious and in 1970 Mr. Hill opened an office in West Ealing. Extra tuition vehicles were necessary and the driving school expanded its roots from Ealing, West London, to cover the whole of the West London area.

First Bus Contract

It was in 1974, that the company took on its bus contract. This contract required one mini-bus to take children to and from their nursery and is still in place today, along with forty others school contracts. Impact Coaches began to grow very quickly and more vehicles were needed to supply the increasing demand. Since the original one small mini-bus in 1974 the fleet has steadily developed to include vehicles ranging in size from 8 seater to 51 seater executive coaches. To administer and promote this important part of the group a booking office and administration centre was opened in June 1991.

Impact expanded again in 1993 when the company took over Armchair Coaches yard at Brentford in Middlesex. The yard boasted an extensive workshop with three mechanics on hand; however Impact continued its rise and quickly even outgrew this property. In 2000 the decision was made to move Impact to a new entirely self contained property, completely fitted with state of the art equipment in Perivale.

Since its inception in 1969 the Impact Group has become one of the largest independently owned companies in West London. Impact currently has over 100 driving staff and a helpful and reliable management team, who can always be reached 24 hours a day on the emergency phone number 07860 439 499 and during the day 05.00 – 20.00 at Perivale on 020 8601 3555.
